2023 Just brought 2006 with 176k miles. Loving it thus far. Sunroof amazing and more roomy inside for a small car than u would imagine.Seats comfortable, paint job still looks like new. Hoping Ill have this around for a while even as a second car

I've had a 2004 Volvo s40 (with 120,000 miles) for about three years now and all I have to say that it's an ok car. I've had some issues with my fuel injectors and radiator but I think that's to be expected for how old it is. I would warn you that buying parts for the s40 is pricey especially in Texas

FCP Groton and Eeuro parts my 2 best friends for Volvo and Saab parts. Ive owned quite a few Volvos and currently own a Saab no problem saving a ton on parts!

Mantric Caravan well yeah, I can agree that you get a lot of parts bc you’re basically buying them in bulk (in Texas atleast, idk if it’s different everywhere else). it’s pricey man lol

Well the chassis and soil class is the same like the Mazda 3 back then. Also the petrol 4 cylinder engines are the same as Ford Focus 2 and Mazda 3. I own a S40 with a PSA-Diesel a 2.0 4 cylinder engine also used in Peugeots and Citroens. What I try to tell, you should buy spare Parts at Ford, Mazda and Citroen. I bet they'll be cheaper as buy them from Volvo.

Thinking about buying one with 140,000 on it at $2750. Would you recommend?
@sethgibson41554 жыл бұрын
Arthur Kelsey seems pretty reasonable, if you’re getting it for someone as their first car it would be good. They’re super sturdy vehicles in terms of crash safety, but do check the breaks, engine components and axels for any cracks. Don’t want to buy something that’ll cost more than it was offered for.

I love my '07... Just beware these cars have no coolant level sensor/ warning. Mine is in the shop getting its engine replaced due to a severe overheat with no warning. Also agree with the comments on the interior. Seats are extremely comfortable, but I could use another inch or two of legroom in the front. LOVE that five-cylinder engine sound at 3:05!

I can get one for pretty cheap but has over 200,000 miles on it 😵. It’s never been in an accident and has 0 problems with it tho. Should I get it??
@andersonviana51615 жыл бұрын
Go further IF it seems well preserved. Better if with revisions book. Low kilometers means nothing if the car had a bad owner. I've got mine 2002 1.6 gasoline with 246k and no problems

Yes, it is just broken in with those miles.

Im about to trade my 2000 Acura EL with 79k kilometers for a s40 with 135k kilometers. Is it a good choice?
@alexballantine39733 жыл бұрын
135k kilometres should be totally fine. make sure you check service history/ get it checked by a mechanic! usually the n/a 5 cylinders last at least double that mileage though so should be fine

Hello I drive a 2006 Volvo S40 and recently I got hit from another vehicle backing up and my headlight Len is cracked open, I’ve looked everywhere for the part but none of them match my car. However the 2004 Volvo S40 headlight Len does, should I buy it because the headlights look the exact same?
