JESUS CHRIST, that buzzing noise in the interior is damn ennoying😵‍💫😵‍💫 Quite a good engine if it didn't have any oil consumption issues where these engines are very famous for... Not really fast as well, but a good alternative to save some costs like petrol and maintenance against like the 5 cylinders

@@TheMarkProject Volvo has based S40 II and V50 on the Ford Focus mk2 platform. 1.6 petrol is produced by Ford but 1.8 and 2.0 I think are Mazda’s creation. Only the 5 cylinder petrol engines are made by Volvo.

I have S40 with this engine, but after face lifting. It's loud due to high rpm but also not so fast on the motorway. I think the 1.8 engine is Duratec from Ford, evolution of earlier zetec engines. The same 1.8/125 is in focus and mondeo.

​@@TheMarkProject 1.6 and 1.8 4 cylinder petrol engines were from Ford Motor Company. Also used on some Mazda's. Not extremely fast, huge oil consumption problems after 200k km's sometimes

It sometimes makes weird unhealthy buzzing sound :( as if something was vibrating. Exhaust? It shouldn't be like that. And it should be a bit faster - it might have limited power with this check engine

I heard that too. In the description it said the car has done 400,000 km so it’s not too surprising if the car is making weird noises haha.

mine makes a similar noise, but not as bad. the local mechanic told me it's the intake manifold and it has to be fixed by volvo. sometimes it loses a bit of power, but other times it goes back to normal.
