2006 Yamaha 15HP 2 Stroke

It’s on my 12ft jon and it runs a 100:1 ratio for the oil mixture. There was about 120lbs of gear and another 300lbs with my friend and I on it. I got it up to 21mph when it was going with the current. I think it may get up to 25mph if it was just 1 person and if I took off the trolling motor, but I keep it just in case of anything.

Mine best was 54kmh nothing in boat and nilly empty tank.make sure you always use your arm band motor cut out cord.cheers...👌.my 15 is a 2014.......

Is it 100:1 with any 2 stroke oil, or are you using that special Amsoil 100:1 stuff?

I’ve cracked 44km/h with the tide in my 15hp Yam..... 41km against the tide.

Trent Pyrtle I’ve done some more tests in a longer boat (2.5m to a 3.5m)and was able to raise the motor height which reduced drag / increased rpm. Standard prop went to 5850rpm and I achieved 47km/h in the 3.5m boat with just me 88kg. On the 2.5m it achieves a consistent 42km although I need extra weight in the boat due to hull length. Let’s say in neutral current it would achieve 44km in a 3.5m tinny with a 88kg bloke plus some fuel.
