I’m just jumping back in time to remember what it was like to open a box and get your monies worth. Also good to see a high end box “only” cost $700. I can barely find regular boxes for that much these days. This was the beginning though. People with more money than sense buying up high end product as an investment and not for the love if the hobby.

I know...I remember when I could go to walmart, or target and buy some cards, but the way the people who work there tell it the day they have a new shipment they have 5-10 guys waiting to buy them all up immediately. Then I see them on ebay selling for 3 times what they bought them for. Collecting has gone crazy these days!

Just don't get why, peeps break boxes/cases, already thinking about ebay in mind!! I Just pulled THE #1 card in all of 2012-13 Panini Immaculate,!!! THE top print run cards, and the #1 rookie to get in the print run!!! Damian Lillard rookie logo man patch auto 1/1!! I had some insane offers,3 were over $20,000!!! Its great it only took 3 cases to get the card, and now the card is on its way to Beckett to get graded, then back to me trophy case!!! I LOVE doing live breaks, and collecting cards is my hobby, and what i love to do in my pass time, if i pull a few cards out of a case i dont want, or need to clear up some extra space i may put them on ebay, but never do i go into a break thinking about ebay ebay ebay... Congrats on the money maker box, even even if it did happen 5 years ago... to each there own though.... good luck with you future breaks...

A lot of people were bothered by the fact that we were putting them on eBay right after opening. The three of us pooled our money and really enjoy opening boxes, so selling the hits would give us money to buy and open more. These were the most expensive we'd bought at the time and were around $1,800 for 3 boxes, so we kinda had to sell them. Yes, we collect, but we keep certain players and LeBron wasn't one anyway.

@@mr8883 If I pulled cards of someone I PCed, I'd certainly enjoy them more and not sell, but this case was expensive and I knew going in that I was going to need to sell some to recover the cost of the boxes. It's not that we were only thinking about money. It's feeling elated that we didn't just lose $1,800 on the cards and knowing that we'd be able to buy a lot more cards to open for ourselves that we COULD keep.
