I have to say after reading forums in 1999 watching videos in late 00s and today this has got to be by far the best how to video I’ve ever seen. Everything was accounted for, nothing spared, explained in laymen’s terms, camera angles of everything. Absolute perfection. Cheers!

Working on a 09 that's blowing park light fuses. I suspect the license plate light sockets, but I am struggling to get to them. Those 4 bolts for the panel aren't captured tightly on the back side, so they are just spinning when I try to remove them. ALL of them are like that. I might have to resort to some sort percussive persuasion.
@alexsimonovich3 жыл бұрын
Since the 4th screw on the applique is so hard to put back in, what are your thoughts about leaving it out and depending on the other three to do the job?
@jskidpatrol3 жыл бұрын
It really wasn’t very hard with a ratchet wrench, just time consuming so I wouldn’t skip it to avoid any possible water leaking into the rear door.

@Gene4747 Жыл бұрын
Same with me - this video is great but the spinning bolts create a major problem. I tried applying WD-40, but no luck. A Google search yielded a recommendation of applying a torch or heat to get the lock tite to melt, but having already applied oil, I don’t want to oil to catch fire. Bummer - great vid, though. I put the truck back together - maybe I’ll try again with the gray suggestion in a couple weeks.

No - I had invested enough time and had other things to do. But I may tackle it again on a warm day with the new game plan to attempt heating up the bolts - would have tried today had I not sprayed the WD-40 on them..
