2007-2012 Gm Silverado / Tahoe Airbag code B0085 Sensor Didn't Fix Problem!SLOVED.

Thanks a million. With scanner i cleared code door closed, opened up door and no code, waited a while still no code with door open still, grabbed the rubber grommet and wiggled it and boom light came on same code B0085, opened up wire harness and found broken wires.

Great tip Thank you. Just fixed the B0085 on my 2011 Silverado. Purple wire with white strip broken in the driver side door jam harness.

The connectors from the wiring harness that are behind the spare fuse panel that have a swing arm to release, how do get them out once you swing the arm up ? I’m having no luck disconnecting this end of the wiring harness

Pull the rubber boot off in the door jam and you can pop out the plastic retainer holding in the wiring harness.

Just because a code says car part doesn't mean you need a car part. Sport for a Haynes manual for whatever you are driving or a single car 3 day access at Alldata or Mitchell, well worth the $25.
