People are always putting down owners of C6 Vet's with Automatics. I gotta tell you I love my Corvettes LS3 naturally aspirated Automatic 6 speed. It's soooo damn fast. ❤

Sport/Tour selector on a C6 is for the mag ride suspension not transmission

It sure looks like you have the emergency brake pulled up the WHOLE video, lol. That might have contributed to the extremely slow 0-60 run. XD

The automatic is only a 4 speed, same one in there pick up trucks Edit: nevermind the 4 speed auto was only used in 2005

Per a quick search on my end, 2005 seems to be the 4sp whereas 2006+ had the 6 auto.

Deciding between making this car my first Manual or staying auto

If price is similar, I’d always recommend the manual for a sports car. Autos are driven hard and prone to breaking and far more expensive to repair or regularly maintain whereas an automatic, especially in an often hard-driven sports car, are essentially a lottery of wait and see for failure, at which point $5,000 is still in the lower end of replacement costs.

Where are you located? That 0-60 mph run took almost 6 seconds.

I’m in Rhode Island test driving all over the state. I’m in uncontrolled conditions so my 0-60 are always random depending on location.
