My brother over tightened the bolt and broke it on his VTC solenoid when he was replacing it , rookie mistake know i have to remove the engine to take it and have the bolt extracted 😂 and put it back in when it’s done 😅 I appreciate you taking time to edit this video 🫡

What keeps the transmission from falling out? Does it have it's on mounts?

It has a transmission mount you can also put a jack stand under it with a block of wood. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

And see that’s what I’ve always been told. I know it’s super popular to swap them into plenty of cars with a ton of tune ability. But, I don’t know what’s going on around me I see so many go bad and wind up not having compression so idk haha. Thanks for watching!

For that super tricky upper rear mount bolt, I used a half-moon box wrench (c-shaped handle) and a pipe over the other end for extra leverage. Probably a three minute process once I had the wrench.

Is the 2007 much different from the 2008? I need to pull my engine and want to leave the trans alone

2008 is when they changed the body style but I believe the motor and transmission is the same. So this should be super similar if not exact same. But always double check everything first. Best of luck. Thanks for watching!

8th Gen accord is basically identical in terms of removal

You'll have to unbolt the intermediate shaft from the engine. Axle removal is not required

What was the mileage on the motor you took out?

Yup 100%! I give these motors a tough time because the people that have them around here neglect them so see so many go bad. But I know they are good motors and that’s why so many people do motor swaps with them all the time.
