Hello everyone,
In this episode we meet Austin and his very clean 7th gen Accord coupe! Austin's first car was a 7th gen Accord and he set out to find the most rare spec this generation has to offer. After a few months and traveling up to Northen Cali he found the gem he wanted. He has done a wonderful job on upgrading key components while keeping the car reliable. Awesome to see that someone took interests in this awesome chassis. Although Austin seems to have been finish with his view of the project, only time will tell if he will continue to build it. I sure hope he keeps it! Thank you Austin and everyone who supports the channel! #automotiveanatomy

You’d be surprised at the gas mileage these J30 V6s get. When mine was brand new I immediately took it on a road trip, and she got 34 MPG on the highway, 70-80 MPH and AC on full blast. Even now, she gets 30-31 MPG on my road trips, which is what I mainly use her for anymore.

The 7th gen, specifically 06-07 and EX-L, is the perfect combination of modern features and classic style interior. Things like push button start and button parking brake are not present, however the interior is extremely comfortable and full of features for driving. Cruise, heated seats, sunroof, leather, and others.. makes the car one of the last best cars of our modern times. Now everything is plastic plastic plastic, CVT transmissions everywhere, and electric buttons for everything. Technology is great, I love it, but some things don't belong in a car.

Well done. Clearly there was a lot of thought and common sense applied to this build. That fact that this car remains reliable after 200K+ miles is the icing on the cake. The end result looks very clean, much nicer than most cars I see that are loaded full of mismatched aftermarket stuff where the owner clearly didn't have a vision of what they were trying to accomplish. In addition, despite the impressive level of performance the current CTR offers, to my eye, this Accord Coupe is definitely the better looking car.

You can also swap a magnesium intake manifold from an accord hybrid 05-06 or a 05-07 Odyssey EX-L to save about 12lbs and has way less heatsoak compared to the factory aluminum one. For 6-6 guys the Hybrid manifold has the butterfly valves in the top plate like factory so that’s the one I did. Just have to drill out a vac port for the vacuum mount since the hybrid has auto stop and doesn’t have a port.

It's not a bumper It's a front lip look up the difference between the regular coupes from 03 to 07 and then look up the hfp models that's the difference the hfp comes with a sportier front lip side skirts that go below the doors and then a rear lip that goes on the back bumper so look up hfp front lip hfp rear lip hfp side skirts for the full kit or if you only want the front one just look up hfp front lip or get the eBay replica that looks almost exactly the same and is a lot cheaper and easier to find

Had a 5 speed auto v6 accord 2005 as my first car I want another one now that I need a work car for how much I drive for my job i want to keep the miles off my Beamer I need a manual this time though they are so perfect for the price you pay when you factor their reliability and performance on regular 87 octane gas but hard asf to find only one within 500 miles of me….
