Got an '07 Burgundy ES with 115k but rented a '17 Maxima w/29k on Vacation wanted to see what I was missing in a newer car..... NOTHING Immediately I missed my ES 4-express windows, rain sensing wipers and smoother ride with less road noise BUT the Maxima had more zip in acceleration.

Bought a 2008 ES last week with 83k miles on it. Astonishing as to what Lexus owners have been experiencing over the last 12 years! Just like they say... It's like driving in the cloud. Immense power under the hood too.

My grandma drives a 2012 ES which has the pearl white exterior with the tan interior. Hands down the most comfortable & refined car I've ever experienced. This generation 07-12 is nicer than the current ones in my opinion. The interior in the 2013-present ES's looks & feels cheap in some places.

I notice all the motors on the es models are noisy when you open the hood I drive 2000 sable with a 24 valve and 120000 miles and it sounds lite butter in comparison.

The buttons on the steering wheel peel,the alt is difficult to get too, and the transmission is sealed so the fluid needs to be replaced at 100.000 miles or you will get a shutter

Kiing 805 yes the aux is inside of the center console.i think there are 2 inside.they face the front.
