It’s not a 2-door E-Class… it’s built on the W203 chassis…during the CLK run it was a “in between “ of a C-Class and E-Class coupe….like the modern CLE.

wow, that sound, sounds better than my old w212 e63, Mordecai (probably spelt it wrong ) is a cool dude. shout out to him. without launch control I could 0 to 60 it in around 4.3 seconds even in winter on Michelin ps4 tyres , that 6.2 l is special

I’m so sad the US never got the coupe version… I have a clk550 but that’s unfortunately the furthest up I can go for coupe v8 clk’s unless I fork over $170,000 for a black series.😔

m156 engine swap it, it uses the same ECU along with the 350, the 320 and 500 have incompatible ECU's. Mercedes Swap Shop can do the engine conversion.

@@greentorque1087 I've owned a clk55 and clk 63. Powerwise it's a eclass but feels.like a clk55 which is exactly like a C55. And I currently own a c55. But hey. My opinion in terms of what I feel when driving

no its not a 2 door E-Class clk 209 is based on most of 203 C-class

Mechanically it maybe based on the c-class, but it's design is e-class right from the very first clk. In 2009 Mercedes moved away from the clk badging and stayed with the e-class coupe

The w209 is based on the w203 base thats true but it got also alot of E class features / parts and it is also bigger than the w203 C-klass and was always placed above the C-Klass
