@maxbie123 Great question, there is actually a device inside the ship that senses that the water level is too high so it releases a small float that is attached to the ship. Once they find the float, they ring em' in.

The ships are equipped with a float.,usually a loose piece of superstructure attached to the hull with a long piece of string . When the ship sinks the float rises to the surface so the ship can be easily located. We also look for shallow ponds..:)

@patchwork4516 жыл бұрын
Hello, Im not sure what you are asking, I build my own rudders but you can buy them from Battlers Connection and other places. if you mean the waterproof servos for the rudders I use standard Hitec servos and waterproof them with scotch guard electrical water proofing and use an oring and grease around the drive spline. If you you want to know about firing the guns we use clippard mini penumatic fittings. For more information Google Battlers Connection, Model warship Combat and ircwcc.

Battlers Connection Sells semi kits,but to find a completed ship you would need to find someone in a club thats selling one. Try going to the rc Naval Combat site, they have a "for sale" section.

Many questions !! What weapons do these ships have?? And what is their hull made of?? Also how do the weapons manage to sink the ships and last what do u do if your ship sinks?
@randomguy989811 жыл бұрын
1. bb cannons. 2. Fiberglass or wood, with "windows" made of balsa armor, this is what takes the damage. 3. The ships have bilge pumps to pump out water, but eventually with enough shots from the cannons penetrating the balsa "windows", the water will come in faster than the pump can get it out, and the ship will sink. 4. Ship is retrieved, armor is patched up or replaced, cannons reloaded.
@patchwork4515 жыл бұрын
@mickeymickey0812 The ships are easy to repair. All the electronics are in water tight boxes ,We plug the bb holes with silkspan and glue and can be back on the pond in minutes.
@patchwork4516 жыл бұрын
The easy/cheap way to get started is to join a local club and buy a used ship. google R-C Naval Combat and look through their list to find a club close to you. You arnt suppost to ram or sink a ship by ramming but it happens. It doesnt destroy the ships,they are designed to sink ,eveything inside is waterproofed.

the ships are modeled in 144:scale and are built with 1/32 sheeting above and below the water line. the cannons are made of plumbing fittings that fire 177cal bbs. CO2 from a paint ball tank regulated down to 150psi is what is used to fire the cannons. All the ship controls and cannons are handled by hobby RC radios You can learn more by googling...Battlers Connection.....ircwcc....model warship combat and rc naval combat.

Georges plans are all in 144th scale.so if thats the scale you want your good to go. the only other thing is that you might have to make your own rib patterns. I usualy make a couple of copys of plans so I can cut them up for deck ,keel and rib patterns and still have the original plans intact.
@patchwork4515 жыл бұрын
@mickeymickey0812 The float comes loose from the ship but is still attached by a long tether so when the ship sinks the float rises to the surface and the ship can be found by following the tether from the float to the sunken ship

Hello I'm trying to find a group to do this near or in my state of Washington. Ok for those of you, who aren't use to this. The scale size is 1/144 of the actual ship. Balsa wood is used for construction by some. The projectiles are ball bearing BB's. You have to build them from scratch. Yes you can used a model but it will have to be the scale I indicated and there's certain things that are needed for making one. I haven't made yet either but I know where I can get instructions for the insides.
