2007 Yamaha R6s Stator and Regulator Replacement

2003-2005 Yamaha R6 and 2006-2009 Yamaha R6s Stator and Regulator Rectifier Replacement.
Bonus items are an oil change and a phone charger addition.
The stator replacement is almost Identical on most Japanese motorcycles, and the regulator rectifier is the same process but location may vary based on the motorcycle.
The oil required is "Motorcycle oil" and its synthetic 10W40 and the oil filter used is K&N KN-303.
Please note that this video is a repair video and not necessarily for entertainment, so the editing quality is pretty low, but you'll still get the point on how to repair your motorcycle.

That is why I paid $480.00 from the dealer for o.e.m. parts for my Moto Guzzi. Had to take the front cover off and pull the stater drum off. They revised the parts and were much bigger than the original. Hopefully the new one will go 37,000 miles like the original. I also replaced the regulator because it was shorted out. Great video 👍

I love how you skip over on untightening the stator screws because those are Loctite from Factory and there's no way in hell you just simply unscrew them like it was nothing actually show the process of taking everything off when you make a video like this

Yes you are right , I stripped mine off with 1 and other 2 luckily came off. I’m going to try the rubber band tricks. If not I’m taking it to the mechanic

My stater had the same problem of just failing after like 1 solid day of riding, and the look of absolute defeat I had on my face when yours look the exact same as mine. I bought mine off of eBay as well but I’ve never had a problem with eBay bike parts until now

Amazon too be careful of hh bros and caltric very poor condition price tag in it explains it all. Wish I knew this before spending 70$ on stator and reg just to install it and not get anywhere near proper voltage

What happend with chinese stator did magnets breake of it or just stopped producing eletricity

Isn’t there a wire that you disconnect that demagnetizes the stator ?

Better to replace both because they work together. If one goes out, the other one isn’t too far behind

Need to put on the gasket but use OEM
