Before pulling the old fuel line hose out attach an end of new hose to end of the old one and pull old hose through...new hose will follow and you will be able to get it through that tough area with out any problems. Use a dowel or 2" length of bar that you can slip the hose ends over. Also, I would have replaced the Fuel Filter as well...they are pretty cheap and will give you a better flow than old one.

what was causing the backfire? i just unclogged my main jets and replaced the idle jets, runs better than it did but it started backfiring>>??
@wonkster19703 жыл бұрын
It was a combination of things. Spark plugs and a stuck needle in the one carb. Raw gas was being pushed into the exhaust.

@@wonkster1970 how would a stuck needle cause it. i did change my plugs, helps but still backfiring i used E3 plugs, not really a big change i thought it would be. three electrode plugs

So, I watched this video twice today. Besides some of the camera angles, I thought it came out pretty good. I used the Duck Bill Pliers to remove the hose clamps. Most of the time they work great on those squeeze clamps. The other pliers, that are specifically for hose clamps, work really good to remove stuck fuel lines. I could of went with some 1/4 inch or 5mm bulk fuel line. I decided to go with the OEM because of the crazy bends toward the fuel tank. I've had problems with bulk line kinking before. Braided line probably would of worked also. Anyway, thanks for your comment. Stay safe.
