The point in removing the radio was so that you could hold the gray module next to the radio still while you were plugging in the remote start wiring. All you really need to do is remove the radio the wire you need to connect to is at the top left between the radio and the guage that's all. You did more work than you need to

Jared Halbrook went good we have a 2013 and have totake the center console out before removing the knee bolster there are 4 bolts in the compartment under the arm rest and two up by the radio than pull the parking brake lever up and you can slide the console back also there is a screw in the knee bolster by the door to get at it just pop the cover by the door enough to get a screw driver in remove the screw and carefully pry the knee bolster out.After I pulled the knee bolster and metal plate under it I could pull the skim plug with the help of a couple of pick tools.

How has this remote start held up? Will the heat automatically turn on assuming the dial is turned on?

I actually sold this car to my sister but she told me that it's still working. If you have the heat turned up and on before you turn your car off it should come on when the remote start is activated.

Yes the module needs to be flashed. I got this kit on Ebay and the seller was able to flash it for me. I let the seller know the year, make, and model of my vehicle and they flashed it for me.

Unfortunately the keyless entry system on my Avenger was installed by the factory so I didn't have to install it.
