They do say to hold the battery by the edge. Finger smudges reduce conductivity.

What if I locked the key in the car but have the fob will it work?

a 2021 Yukon requires two working keys in order to be able to add a new key. If you have less than two working keys you will need an automotive locksmith or dealership.

What could the problem be if you've done all of that, and it still doesn't work? Mine was fine until the battery died. My husband bought a new CR 2032 and replaced it, and it's still not working. I even checked the connectors and everything is in place. I have no idea what's going on.

I know it sounds simple but are you sure you installed the battery correctly? ( not upside down )

@@PYR-Auto Yes, I double and triple checked it. It's in place the correct way. I'm going to double check the buttons though to make sure everything is connecting.

Do you have any other CR2032 batteries to try? Even though it is not very likely, there could be an issue with the new battery

What would the problem be if your fob wont lock or unlock or open any of the sliding doors or hatch? This is of course after I replaced the fob battery...

As long as the vehicle battery is not currently dead it should not effect the fob. It sounds like the fob may still not be getting power - are you sure you installed the battery correctly? ( not upside down )

Be sure not to touch the top and bottom of the battery.
