I appreciated the amount of detail you give. Thank you! Never had a vehicle like this (as new or a mini-van) so am starting at step 1 to learn. My question, we heard kinda a grinding noise from the back area you are working on, then a couple weeks later it stopped blowing in the back at all, and while the front still blows, its not cold air. Will this fix it maybe?

@uriel00024 жыл бұрын
If I was you I would make sure the front controllers are not on sync mode or locked mode then on the overhead head try to adjust them the usually the actuators from the video are the common problem so replace them theyre like 10 bucks on ebay or Amazon if that doesn't fix your problem it could be the overhead controllers those are expensive check the fuses if there's no power to it.

Es el door actuator tiene 3 al frente uno para el lado del chófer otro para el lado del pasajero y otro que mezcla el aire caliente y frío en que tu necesitas es el pasajero.

I just find this video today, I recently bough a 2012 town and country, the front AC works well, the problem on the rear is that I have air from the floor vents under neat of the driver's seat and front passenger seat, when I choose to have rear air from the overhead vents there is no air and the blower doesn't work, the only way to have air blowing on the rear overhead vents (on the ceiling) is when rear defrost is on and it last only for 10 minutes (factory default), so this tells me that the blower is ok if it is sending air when rear defrost is on. I don't know if changing the rear AC blend door actuator can fix this issue, any advice?
@uriel00025 жыл бұрын
The defrost system on the rear has nothing to do with the blower because the defrost system are elements very fine metallic. But try putting your ear on the rear blower if it works which you'll be able to hear it working them yes it will be your actuator which it has 2 very cheap online you might be able to replace them both if the blower doesn't work check the fuses before anything.
@mainmixnight5 жыл бұрын
@@uriel0002 Thank you for your answer, I just went outside to check the minivan and I can hear the rear blower when the rear defrost works with its different speeds and the air comes out from the ceiling vents, turned the rear defrost OFF, and turned ON the rear AC choosing the ceiling vents but the blower won't work and I put my ear on the rear blower and I can conform the the blower is not working.

I just remembered yes one actuator is for switching the vents and the other actuator is for switching from heat to ac that means yes changing one of those 2 existing actuators might fix your problem 90%sure.

One actuator determines if it’s cold or hot air, the other one directs where you want the air to blow. I just did it on one of my cars, and now my town and country has this issue. This will solve no air blowing in the back, and no hot or cold air. I recommend replacing both so you don’t have to continue going in there.
