Well it was fixed for a a few days now its still doin the same tging I change the valve cover gasket spark plugs spark plug wires the coil any ideas what else it might be

@noahmunoz8820 I'm using a Snap-on Verus Edge but you can buy a full function scanner much cheaper. The Thinkdiag scanner for your phone is very capable in my opinion

I'm not sure if that 2008 applies, but I believe that GM even lowered the timing belt maintenance schedule on some Aveos. Back in the day, we had tons of these come in for cylinder heads because the belts were breaking close to (or before) they were due to be changed.

I thought it was a bad MAP sensor on my 08 but that didn’t fix it. The idle is rough and feels like it’s going to stall.

I have a 2007 Chevy Aveo and it’s got that problem too, the codes are for misfire on cylinders 2 and 4, losses power when driving but no problem when Idle, also just through a code for the throttle-body, It was fine, I noticed a oil leak around the valve cover gasket, it should have been an easy job the new gasket leaked oil into this spark plugs, that’s when the car started running rough, I replaced the valve, cover gasket, fullest spark, plugs out, clean them with brake cleaner and sandpaper, replace the spark black wires but it’s still running very rough, but checking light showing those coats for cylinder two and four, and also the throttlebody, I don’t know what to do anymore. What does the throttle body have anything to do with that? Do you have any recommendations?

Did you replace the spark plug boots as once they get saturated with oil and carbon tracked they will need to be replaced. The throttle body code is likely due to low idle speed due to the misfire on two cylinders. You could try another coil pack as well.

I know from doing that kind work. I have seen coil do odd things. Usually when you load the engine get a misfire. But sometimes its dose not . Good fix . How is that F150 doing. Happy New Year
