[2008] Dream Port Revo (Sound Horizon) ＆ 梶浦由記 (Yuki Kajiura)

Dream Port is a collaborative single that was co-composed and co-arranged by Revo and 梶浦由記 (Yuki Kajiura). Released on June 18th, 2008, it was released by KING RECORDS and combined the composition styles of the two composers. There are two songs, one containing vocal songs and another being purely instrumental. In the first song, 砂塵の彼方へ… (Sajin no Kanata e, Beyond The Dust Storm), there are seven vocalists who performed on this album who have collaborated with Sound Horizon and FictionJunction in the past, KAORI, REMI, YUUKI, WAKANA, KEIKO, and 貝田由里子 (Yuriko Kaida) to name a few. The second song, sand dream, acts as a instrumental rearrangement of the first song. This release also contains a DVD featuring the live performance of 砂塵の彼方へ… from Revo＆梶浦由記 Presents『Dream Port 2008』.

the first song got me scrambling because it reminded me of an anime i watched long ago. the sound and tone of the singers sounded very similar. the song is kalafine - hikari no senritsu. the anime is sora no woto

I just found it some days ago on Spotify by chance and when i saw it not being so famous as i thought because this is one of the best song ever made and then i decisded to search it on KZbin to know about it more and hear i am, no matter what or how few people listen to it, it is one of the very best songs in my heart and mind

I still can't get over the fact that they have this collab and still befriends nowadays. I met Kajiura's work when I was teenager with anime, then at my collage period I really came across with the knowledge of her being the composer and many new works of that time (Tsubasa Reservoir, Pandora Hearts and Madoka Magica) and fell in love with her style (as a Yoko Kanno fan i must say it was so cool to find Kajiura too). Almost at the same time I met Sound Horizon with Elysium, Seinen no Iberia, Roman and the newly cameout Marchen (for a weird reason I didn't almost had contact with Moira) but I found out about this collab almost at 2018 and it was thanks to this video two years ago, I was able to listen it fully and know the words. So funny to being able to compare previous works and after this collab and the way some leiv motivs changes in little melodic traces in both of them after this. Was really exciting when I realize and still one of my favorites (i still wished it was a mini story album though). Again thanks for sharing!
