2008 Ford Shelby Mustang GT Barrett Jackson

Gateway Classic Car of Dallas is more than proud to present this 2008 Ford Mustang. However, this right here is not your normal Mustang. This is a 2008 Limited Edition Barrett Jackson Shelby Mustang. A Mustang like this does not come up for sale often because simply because the sheer exclusivity of this piece. To give you a little history on why this is a Barrett Jackson - Shelby Mustang, let’s roll back the clock all the way back to 2007. Mr. Shelby was a huge fan of the Arizona and Las Vegas Ford dealers throughout his career due to their continuous support of his work. This kind of relationship sparked the creation of the 2008 Barrett Jackson, Ford Motor Company and Shelby mash-up which birthed 100 of these limited edition Mustangs. With just a crisp 17,060 miles its barley been broken in. Rolling on some shiny black 18 inch black wheels, this Mustang has got a Shelby Cobra roadster hood scoop to wrap up the look with racing stripes that were Carroll Shelby’s personal touch if you are familiar with his work at all.
Typically, these cars were upgraded with Ford Racing package that cranks outs an impressive 319 horses with 330 pound feet of torque right through a high flow exhaust system that is married beautifully with a X-pipe crossover. The thing is, this is no typical car. Gracing the top of the intake manifold is a Whipple twin screw supercharger, boosting not only the sounds this monster makes, but also seriously bumping its horsepower output. This Shelby is a five speed manual transmission with a Hurst short throw shifter. And after all that jazz if you’re not impressed, this Mustang is has been christened by the beautiful signature of Carroll Shelby himself right on the passenger side dash with a certificate of authenticity that does of course come with this piece of American muscle history. This car includes AC, AM/FM Radio, CD player, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Power Locks, Power Seats, Power Windows, ABS, Traction Control, Keyless Entry, Seat Belts, and Leather Interior.
