Managed to remove and install rear wheel on a dyna fat bob 2015 without dissembling caliper my firs time. Now, on my second install, I'm wondering how that was even possible. Thanks for upload. I needed to see how easy the caliper is to take apart.

Thanks! It’s really not too bad of a task, but the service manual can make it seem unnecessarily complex with jumping back and forth between different sections. I think the only big thing to be careful of is that you keep the axle adjuster screws even to maintain alignment. Good luck!

Is it necessary to mess with those belt tension bolts on the end of the swingarm... couldn't you just pull the axle and the wheel will move forward for the belt to loosen and come off the sprocket?

I'd bet you could get the wheel off that way (might take some hammer persuasion on the axle), but I have to think it'd cause a fight to get the wheel back on. You'd have to pull back on the wheel against the tension of the belt while trying to line up the axle shaft through the swing arm, caliper mount, spacers, and wheel. So maybe, but I don't feel like trying it.

Hi, what did you say that the size of the head of the axle nut is? The one 'on the other side'. Thanks

1-1/8" for the head of the axle, 36mm for the nut. I'm guessing both should be either metric or SAE, not mixed. But those sizes are what I had, and they work.
