No I don’t think so unless it is for a prolonged period of time! The light does not use that much power especially if the bulb is LED.

I just changed my light, rotated the bulb for polarity causes, and eventually bought a barand new latch, and still no light or dash indicator 😢😢😢

The Honda system is absolute POS, i have the same issue, for a switch issue, we are forced to change the whole unit 😡
