SJM 1407 S DARWISH doesn't have anything to do with the Hummers height. The first part that crashed into the Hyundai were the Tow hooks which are lower than the upper part of the Hyundai's bumper. The reason why the Hyundai got squished is because of build quality. The Hummer is full metal while most compact sedans are full of plastic and shitty metal.

DT you are so wrong ahahahah. Like SJM said, it has everything to do with height. The mismatching of the bumper bars is what causes the hummer to override the sedan, thus resulting in a large impact on the trunk lid. The Hummer is also not "full metal" both cars have plastic bumper panels....

Yes, but could you imagine how much worse it would have been at a higher speed? That’s why when you’re being tailgated, the best thing you can do is to slow down. It pisses the tailgater off. Also, as aforementioned, it reduces the amount of damage a collision will cause because of the lower speed. That was the argument my driving instructor used when I learned to drive.

So, WE can See, suv's are Bad in Crashes. Not bad for themselves, but für everybody Else. The Hummer bumper just jumped above the sonata bumper, If the hummer would be lower the trunk door of the sonata had no damage. So the Hummer crahses (with it's crash optimzied parts) into the sonata at a Part that is Not chrash optimzed. Thats very unsafe, espacially at a Higher Speed front Crashes. So suv's are great because of their space and everything, but If i would Need space, i would buy a Van ( yes its ugly, but Not so "high" above the ground so you basically get better driving and cornering+ Gas mileage and safety for Others ) it's often cheaper, uses room better, but the engines are to week compared to many suv, and i don't Need space ^^ so ich Chose an Audi a4 ^^. Sorry for the english faults i'm German...
