This is for sure the best college line up like everyone on that line is STACKED lol. when I saw this race the first time I had no idea who was gonna win. everyone on that line is insanely fast 💨 all Speedy 😂

Richard Thompson, the winner, is from Trinidad and he's already qualified for the Olympics.

my home boy Brandon is a freshman in high school, and he ran a 10.80! I think he may become one of the fastest in the world!

If you see Walter Dix's block setting @2:38, that's the reason for his slow start and ultimately cost him any chance at winning the race. Not saying he was a huge contender for this year but man that is a terrible block setting. The spacing between the front and back block is ridiculously large. It was so much space that he had to push his foot back into it in order for it to stay on the pedal when he rose into the set position. I know this is random and all but goodness that was just bad.
@brownmamba65383 жыл бұрын
Who cares? He got bronze in both the 100m and 200m at the Olympics that year. That's more impressive than any NCAA crap.

jeff demps ran 10.01 on a notoriously fast track with a back wind. he hasnt come close to that since in college and yes, everybody in texas ran really fast. the winner who ran 10.08 wasnt even winning until the last 50 meters if you dont believe me go on flotrack and watch the video of the texas state final

amazing, bob hayes ran 10.05 47 yrs ago to win the gold medal in the 64 olympics 100m(ON DIRT TRACK)all these guys today with modern equipment and on modern surface tracks running right at what hayes ran on cinder. fastest football player of all time bob hayes, i can imagine what he would have run the 100meters on todays surfaces.
@BreuckelensFinest5 жыл бұрын
Wrong, Bob Hayes isn't the fastest football player of all time. Jim Hines with a 9.89 electric then later on it was changed to a 9.95 in the 1968 Olympics on rubber surface & he also ran a 10.03 on Cinder surface as well. He went on to play for the Miami Dolphins but didn't make much noise. But he is the fastest man ever to play football. And the white boy named Armin Hary of Germany ran a 10.00 twice in his career was the fastest man ever on Cinder. He ran it during the 1960 Olympics. Just another fun fact.

I really dont watch college track and field but what I do notice is that in olympic years the majority of the NCAA champs don't amount to anything in the trials. Take these NCAA's for example the 100m top 2 USA guys did not even make the finals it was Dix the 4th place guy who did something in the trial he made the 100 and 200. So I have come to the conclusion that while others were thinkig NCAA tittle Dix was thinking Olympics. So why do these NCAA champs "choke" in the trials?

Padgett is the truth but he needs to loosen up a bit. After 60 meters he tightens up and the last 20 meters he can barely move his legs. He should have qualified in the olympics if he would have relaxed and thats why that unknown at this level closed in on him and took the 3rd and final spot at the trials.

@BenjaminPipic I'm not God so I don't know, but then why do you generally (if not every time) see blacks and not whites in sprinting events. I think sprinting is a strength for blacks and not necessarily for whites. How many blacks do you see do swimming? That is mostly whites because that is their strength.
