Great video! Thanks for keeping it to the point. I just fixed a leaking factory connection in the rear window wash hose on a 2016 RR Sport HSE. Badge hides he fastener in the same location, however is an 8mm bolt head. All other information remains the same.

My Buddy who's an Auto Electrician told me to always disconnect the "Battery" as the pillar Air Bags are extremely sensitive! Having made that point, thank you for taking the time to produce an informative video!
@MySupercarLife7 жыл бұрын
Thanks, In an ideal world you should 100% disconnect the battery for your safety. There are 2 schools of thought, one is that you should disconnect, the other is that the airbag system isn't active when the ignition is off and the key is out - saying that though there can be residual current in the modules etc that can cause firing so either way you should always be very careful around them. Thanks for commenting!

Thank you & Yes! If the ignition is off then the Air Bags are not armed, I have a Discovery 3 and the foot wells are now swimming pools, so I've got to do the same, as remove the A pillar covers and others to replace the drain hoses, Happy Days 🛠

TheAudioStud - I am sure you have done the work by now, but another solution is to purchase 12mm push connectors and just replace the ends. That is what I did to all four drain ends. Rears were in good shape though. Fronts rotted away bad. Driver font was easy but the passenger side was not. I had the pull the power junction box (someone has a video on it).

Well done. Worked perfectly and was easy job. Used 3M adhesive to re-glue fabric.
@MySupercarLife8 жыл бұрын
Glad it helped. Good choice on the 3M, if you use cheap spray glues then they have a tendency to unstick again when the interior warms up

Thanks for the Tip Buddy, I have a 2008 Range Rover Sport and my Dash started to crack in the Passenger Air Bag. Im not Happy also now my rear Roof-liner is falling on me.
@MySupercarLife8 жыл бұрын
No problems. I think Land Rover tried to save money on glue! Mine has come away again, so I think I need to use some heavier duty stuff. I think it's worth contacting somewhere that sells the hides and fabric etc. for car trimming and seeing what adhesive they suggest. I've never seen the dash crack but wouldn't be surprised as mine creaks when it gets warm.

The dash on my LR3 has a number of splits on it, particularly around the dash airbag. I live in Dubai though, so the heat has properly pickled it. Thanks for this vid, my A Pillar trims are exactly like this because of the leaky sunroof issue.

When you look into the pillar from outside the front you can see a gap about an inch wide and you can see into the airbag. Is this normal or should it be totally covered? im guessing its not fitted properly or it has warped maybe?
@ljsproductions30064 жыл бұрын
Mines the same have you figured out
@joeymac69704 жыл бұрын
LJ'S Productions yea it’s warped. It should be covered. You can unpop the airbag cap and ensure it is screwed tight, but failing that you’ll need 2 new ones. In the U.K. that’ll cost about £180, 😫

I had mine taken off and put back on, now I can also see the wires from the outside and the trim is not flush with the windscreen. Any ideas how to fix?

Hi mate, What upholstery adhesive did you use, mine's exactly the same..
@MySupercarLife3 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. I think I used impact adhesive, but it was a while ago. There's some stuff on eBay that is a spray which is supposed to be good called trimbond, otherwise you could give Martrim a shout and see what they have 👍
