2008+ STi IAG V3 Competition Series AOS Install

This is exactly what I needed to see the competition conversion but I have the Cobb AOS I threw on the car.

I found there wasnt much online about the conversion, but overall not difficult to do at all!

@@zach_lush nope not at all and a friend gave me the AOS for my killer b oil pan and I currently have radium dual cans but at 40 psi the cans fill straight with oil so now I’m going the competition route because I’m on speed density tune so it won’t cause any issues.

@@E85_STI im not sure how i feel about catch cans for that exact reason! But the competition AOS should help you with that. Yup, being your on speed density should make it an easy swap!

@@zach_lush yup for sure and I see you have a VA as well but I’m still waiting for the competition thing to come in but my question is the top part that comes out that one has 3 screws right? So the 1 inch vent you swapped to how many screws comes in that? I know the AOS has all those holes up top for adjustment but I’m curious how many screw holes the vent has

@@E85_STI honestly i can't remeber but i think it was 2 screws. The competition kit will come with new longer screws since the street series has a flatter mount on the top.

Does your vent hose have smokes comes out? Just wondering

No idea, never been under the car while it's running to see. I'd imagine it would just be a bit of oil vapor. If your worried about smell I haven't noticed anything.

QUESTIONS why the competition AOS need tuning 🤔

Its due to the comp series venting gases to atmosphere, whereas street series recirculates it back into the intake system. It doesn't act as factory and will throw off the car. Street series requires no tune
