Just discovered The Replacements (not long enough yet where I feel comfortable calling The Mats). Really great vid and song. Also, it occured to me that they would be a perfect band for John Cusacks character in High Fidelity lol. Just feels like a song and band that he would have known. I'm not positive, but I feel like maybe this wasn't the most well known band?

Thank you! While I wouldn't qualify myself as a Mats expert, the dialogue around the band seems to indicate that they had a lot of missed opportunities and shot themselves in the foot a lot. The lovable losers. The band that should have been much bigger than they were. The booklet that comes with the "All For Nothing/Nothing For All" tells some great stories, and the recent book "Trouble Boys" is a great read. The audio book is even narrated by Paul's sister, Mary Lucia! She's a legit DJ in her own right.
