2009 Honda Accord V6-6 Speed Muffler Delete (Cold Start, Drive Bys, In-Cabin)

My 2009 Honda Accord Coupe V6-6 speed with a muffler delete which was done at a shop in Ellenton, Fl, Exhaust Solutions. They charged me about $130 bucks. I had both rear mufflers removed, otherwise the exhaust is bone stock. In this video I do a coupe drive bys, a cold start, interior noise with windows up and windows down. Excuse my weatherstrip flapping lol..

love it! i have a 03 accord v6 coupe. different generation obviously but i’m getting the same thing done to mine! just mufflers! I was going to also delete the resonators but decided not to. i’m hoping mine sounds similar to this, not too loud, not too quiet! great video!

Initial Dream I have an 08 6 speed, big downside is aftermarket parts are VERY limited even though I’m willing to pay full retail still not many options and same parts readily available for SI a non existent for this car

Nope especially considering the fact they have great power to weight ratios and very light by comparison then you can have the ECU Ktuned reflashed and put a cold air intake on it and generate even greater horsepower torque and sound like I’m doing to mine next week I also suggest you do a cat deletes using RV6 dummy cats and Oh man they better watch out for lead foot in a Honda coupe 😂

You've possibly seen mine driving around, it's the 8.0Gen sedan in Mystic Green Metallic with the messed up front bumper. Trying to get it fixed but put a 2012 by bumper on mine after someone performed a hit and run on my car.

I live in Jersey too. They only test emissions. I'm not sure if removing the third cat would fail it but just taking the mufflers off is fine.

@@BVMUSICNJ I live in NJ, if you remove the cat you can go to the tune shop so they can get it tuned so you wouldn't have to worry about emissions.

I deleted the cats by gutting them and just bolted them back on all 3 especially that third dummy cat it’s definitely more throttle responsive the sounds is crazy you should gain anywhere from 20-30 more horsepower alone with the muffler delete and also add a short ram air man I tell ya it makes a world of difference and real head turners too

I did the same but mine is a 4 cylinder 08 accord and mine does that popcorn sound when I’m going around 30 miles per hr I don’t know if it’s supposed to do that does yours?

I've done quite a bit since this video but when I had this set up at low revs, I could hear a little popcorn action. If the noise happens when you have your foot on the throttle I would probably be concerned. Typically on happens in deceleration.

I would honestly look up some videos of 4 banger accords with muffler deletes and see if you dig how they sound. That is what I did for like a month or two lol before doing mine. If you like the way it sounds then do it. If you think you'll be skeptical, keep the mufflers so you'll always be able to put them back to stock.

From what I was told. 5% of all accords were made in a coupe and 5% of those coupes were v6 manual.

Thanks for the suggestion man I'm actually thinking if doing an electric cut out and dumping it right after the cat while keeping the rest stock. I have it disconnected right now but I'll upload a video soon on how it sounds.
