2009 Honda Accord VSA issue

I've had that problem before. I took it into the shop and all they did was replaced the ignition coil. Now it's running normal.

Replacing the oil pressure sensor fixed the problem on mine.

It could be a lot of stuff. Mines was a aftermarket starter. Could be mis fires or anything you need a odb2 computer to see what the codes are.

Ignition coils are going bad. Guarantee that’s what your problem is. They cost a lot at the parts store but you can order them off-line for $40 for a whole set

I changed the 3rd ignition coil, crankcase sensor , camshaft position sensor it’s still does samething 🤦🏾‍♂️

When this happens to my car it’s my fuel injectors. They were/are getting dirty. Clean them and every 3000 miles use a fuel additive. Works everytime

@@jjm1230 yes the mechanic had to run a diagnostic and did a reset on the computer. I think they also change the ignition coils couple hundred dollar fix.

@@jjm1230 it happens when your car gets into a safety mode. That’s why you can’t drive that fast.

If you changed the starter before and did not get the Honda starter and now VSA / cel blinking showing. Start by checking spark plug / coil/ and injector. And if non seems to be the issue move to this one important step( relearn the crankshaft sensor) and that should fix it

I had this happen a week or 2 ago. My mechanic says it's fine but it's been running different since. The lights haven't come back on though. He said it first cylinder misfired.

engine light blinking means misfire that is cat damaging and will reduce vehicle power to safe the cats from melting, on my car one valve was burnt replaced spark plugs and ignition cois but didnt fix the issue so had to pull out the cylinder head

That’s what happened to our 2017 Odyssey it kept having ignition coil problems and it would go but not drive as it should then we got the whole CHECK EMMISON SYSTEM CHECK VSA SYSTEM CHECK FCW SYSTEM CHECK LDW SYSTEM CHECK AIRBAG SYSTEM so took it in and replaced the ignition coil we did trade it for a 2023 Honda Pilot EX-L my family has never owned one before only my aunt and she still has her 2010 Pilot Touring till this day. I miss our odyssey though

The 666 in your milage has that bish haunted 😂 Sounds like your Mass air flow sensor in your air intake tho honestly, I had a maxima do that every time it hit 2500 rpms

@@shtfvan8084 honestly nothing. Got to the end of my road noticed it barely ran got it home scanned it said that and he said it was fine. After scanned it the light went away but hasn't ran the same since but runs fine. My Honda also has 400,000 miles but definitely had this same issue I still wonder the cause

@@Breezybry21 crazy mine did the same, now my mechanic says its running fine,but all he did was take the new ignition voils back out and put them back in and reconnected the battery. I think its computer related after changing the coils, but right after changing them the 1st tiem, the light went off bur came back on... but now after what he did the lights went away again. Crazy. Even had him reset the check engine lights at first, they went away but came back on, and it ran rought, but now again its running fine smh

The piston rings are broken , oil is going into the spark plugs , engine light will blink because it’s serious , stop driving it. Take it to Honda , I had the issue

@@THECARATTITUDE it was not worth fixing in terms of rebuilding the engine , I bought a new engine , the same engine with 50k on it sold to me by Honda , 2k for the engine was far lower than a rebuilt engine and all the labor , final cost with labor 4K out the door price , now Honda did have a recall in 2015 for the same piston rings. I had forgotten all about that , so the recall was good for 8 years after 2015 and 125k miles which I was over on so I didn’t qualify after I called , bummer
