Thanks for the review. I'm seriously considering the Elantra Touring (Sports trim) versus the 2010 VW Golf (both in manual transmission). Already test drove the Touring and was pleasantly surprised. Will need to factor in total cost of ownership including insurance and servicing.

Would you take this over the new 2012 Accent because Hyundai Canada are clearing these out for their new GT models. It's going for about $16.5k here in Canada. Do the new Accent have better safety and tech. than this?
