This was the first Masters I watched. Really the first golf tournament I watched all the way through from Thursday to Sunday. Great memories.

Paul Robert - I cant really blame him for that. Reporters are spies and although they act like your friend or are friendly to you they are there to dig for info or increase ratings/sell papers, whatever. Early on Tiger was advised to not trust them or let them get too close. Wise advise in my opinion. He’s wisened over the years and can navigate that more subtly these days.

Going back and watching these tournaments has made me realize what a N tiger was. He stalked around like a petulant child like the world owed him. His Asian side lost to his N side and in the end he was nothing but a N.

Felt HORRIBLE for Kenny Perry. ONE INCH FROM WINNING OUTRIGHT. And Angel had already won his major two years before. The only moment I hated worse was when Tiger birdied the 18th the next year at the US Open and robbed Rocco Mediate of what would have been his only major. So sad. Tiger's missed a million putts, including some critical ones in this tournament. WHY couldn't he have missed that one?

angel cabrera is one of my all time favorite golfers the way he smoked that cigar the year he won the us open was one of the coolest things to see he was in position A that day and he ended up in position A on this day too.

Angel overcame a lot of adversity on this day. At one point 3 back on the back 9 and managing to save par in the first playoff hole. He was on the final pairing in 11’ and 13’ as well. Also Phil and Tiger really put on a memorable show here just couldn’t keep it together on the back 9

The only time in decades of watching the Masters that I felt that all three,Cabrera,Campbell and Perry deserved green jackets,they played wonderfully under intense pressure and very tough to finish with a sudden death playoff.

Phil had to be thinking 63, or possibly lower, as crazy as that may seem, because 33 is feasible on the back nine. Helluva front side, the 12th struck again, and it's gotten practically all the greats a one time or other.

I'm surprised Chad Campbell never won a major. I was always impressed with his ball-striking. But winning majors is extremely hard to do. Cabrera had that huge break, when he clanked a ball off the tree back into the fairway.

What a beautiful divot by Angel Cabrera on the first playoff hole approach shot to 18. I still don't know how those pros hit those so perfect. Your typical hacker will never hit a divot unless he misses the shot.

I remember watching this live. Watching again tonight one thing I noticed is that it looked like the adrenaline rush Kenny experienced from that tee shot on 16 seemed to effect him on 17 and 18 (especially 17). He looked nervous for the first time all day (but then again who could blame him). Great tournament though with Tiger and Phil dueling it out early and Kenny, Angel and Chad dueling it out late.

Not really. Sure they probably exaggerated it but Tiger presented himself as this clean cut perfect guy and it was fake. His image has never totally recovered after it in my opinion.
