for a super oversimplified version, cars need 3 things to go zoom zoom, gas, oxygen/air, and source of ignition. turbos are a way to use exaust waste gas to spool up a fan. this fan in return draws fresh air into the turbo, the turbo dumps the air into the engine and now there can be a greater amount of combustion thus more power... thats my basic understanding and while no expert i hope i helped

I’m with ya brotha. After owning my Speed 3 for 16 years now, she still runs great, and reliable. Maintenance is key to longevity, and that’s where the speed 3 shines. It was once my daily driver up to about 58k miles on it, and now it’s my weekender joy rider. No mods, except cosmetic, and engine still stock. As always, it passes smog checks without a hitch, and still drives the same way as the first day I bought it. This Iconic classic will still be around for another 16 years with me, that’s for sure😇👍🙏 Thanks for the post brotha, despite it was9 years ago👍

andres it depends on what you want Exactly.. if you want to stock turbo it and daily it with VTEC and a long Rev range, you should get the Civic SI.. K20 is one of the most saught after Honda engines out there.. If you want a already fast and fun hatchback that can carry more things and people while having more torque than horsepower, then the Speed3 wins by default.. but either way, both are great choices!

i had one of these from 2008-2010 and all i felt it needed in terms of "power" upgrades was an intake and test pipe. some other things aside from that as well to improve things but not in the power department. DI, high compression and a smallish turbo on top of FWD can go quickly from fantastic to annoying with too much power, imo. i had an Accessport when it first came out for that platform and while it definitely made more power...it became more annoying in terms of traction issues, so i sold it. i felt that car was a great overall value, esp. with the GT package. the base econobox 3 from that gen is great so the MS3 is that much better in every way.

I learned to drive stick in one of these. It screwed me over because I always end up in a way higher gear than I should be when I drive something else. I'm so used to crazy torque haha

Hey David, I know its not exactly in your hands, but I wanted to ask you if you see yourself reviewing a modified DSM, mostly a 2g but any. If you don't know just respond back. It was nice seeing this mazda, glad to see a good change. Thanks David!

Will we see reviews at 60fps anytime soon? or is that more towards the future
@F22C19 жыл бұрын
Please no! 60 fps gives me such a headache. Unless KZbin decides to allow 720p/1080p with 30 fps AND 60 fps.

Nice review! Would like to see some clips of the owners incorporated into your reviews, I really like hearing from the owners of the cars.

I like the design of the Mazda3 of 09 and before.I do like the new redesign though it took the car back to what it was back in the time period of it but with a little more of Mazada's style and appeal but they dont have a speed version of it.

Man if only they made the speed 3 awd. there's something about that hatchback. but ill probably end up getting a speed 6 in the near future. if you could do a speed 6 review that would be awesome. i like your reviews, simple straight to the point and honest.
