The Volkswagen Viloran could've been a great replacement for the Routan in North America, but Volkswagen still decided to replace it with the damn Atlas 🤦‍♂️

When one thinks of this VW by Chrysler, it seems the Dodge Omni and Plymouth Horizon (and the respective 024 and TC3 sports coupes) equipped with the VW 1.7L engine come to mind.

after visiting both VW and chrysler, after adding all fetures to both the Town and Country was 3 dollors cheaper, and it has swivel and go seats.

This is a stupid idea, a love-child between Chrysler and VW. The sensible thing to do would be for VW to bring it's Sharan MPV over from Europe. It's smaller than most minivans but gets nearly double the fuel economy numbers. The Sharan actually drives well and despite having a 2.0 liter turbo four, feels even stronger than a V6.

Haha the VW Routan compared to german VW Models, is much cheaper it cost around 25.000$ right? In € it costs around 17.000 - 18000€. In Europe much tinier VW cars in the like the new VW Polo oder VI (look in google) in the same price class. This is sick! But the Routan is very cool but not aviable in europe :(

As a Volkswagen owner and enthusiast, I'm disappointed. VW should really have their own unique van, perhaps something smaller and sportier than the competition, with the turbo 4 from the Passat. A TDI option would be nice, too. Oh wait...they already HAVE such a van available for sale in Europe! How ironic. VW should bring the next-gen. Touran to the US and axe this POS knockoff.

it is a nice van on the outside, but it doesnt have much space in it. the middle seats are stationary and limit leg room. The head room is also limited, graunted I am 5ft 10inch. so we went with the toyota sienna xle.
