I am huge Schalke fan from Germany. I love this rebuild like I do all the others. Your Dad is brilliant. Just wanted to add some stuff here: - Schalke has 155.000 paying members (no. 5 in Europe) - The Youth Academy around Coach Norbert Elgert is outstanding. we brought up players like Özil, Neuer, Draxler, Matip, L. Sané, Gündogan or Höwedes. - bad management in the last ten years and the ultimate will to buy that first Bundesliga title on credit in the 2000s led to this mountain of debt

Minor thing, but Rabbi Matondo was actually a (fairly) expensive signing for Schalke from Man City a few years ago, think it was about 8-10 million not too long after the Sancho deal

I took over shalke 04 5 years into the game they had just been promoted back to the bundesluga. Has to be the hardest job ive taken. Really struggled. Saved them from relagation and havnt touched the save since. Inspired me to revisit it

Great solid rebuild Luke i love the Bundesliga you did a great job as you didnt have much money to spend and 240m debt when you started and in the second division. To finish fourth twice and leave a squad of young players for me you did a great solid job there. I found with my Dusseldorf save it took me 2 seasons to secure a Bundesliga place before then pushing on in season 4 and 5 to UCL and challenging for the league etc! Did have a cheeky Europa League win in there as well in season 4! Beat Spurs 4-0 sorry OmegaDad Love the rebuild as always❤

Love these saves Brescianini is awesome. I have him as captain at Palermo, Mezzala or DLP is where he plays now,. previous B2B. He's helped guide us to 2nd in Serie A & Italian Cup win in 26/27 season, only suffered 3 losses across all comps, 1 in league to Juve, 2 in champs league - Bayern & Man Utd.

Just finished a 5 season save at Shalke, promoted in first season and spent the next few seasons improving the squad. Finished 2nd in season 4 and 3rd in season 5. Got to quarters of champions League 2 seasons in a row. Zalazar is my best player, he's been incredible for years. Highest assists every season. Just resigned after season 5 to move to a different league as couldn't get close enough to Dortmund who are dominating the German league every season.

I’m schalke on my fm save 5th season in. Won the bundesliga last season, come down to the final day I needed to win and I needed Bayern to lose or draw and they drew to Freiburg at home who finished 9th. Then they sacked there manager 🤣😅

Future content idea Luke, switch a few players who really could have played for 2 nations and see if they were more succesful. Ie go france and algeria switch Mahrez and Ryad Boudebouz to France nationality and Benzema and Hatem Ben Arfa to Algerian and see if it makes a difference. Great rebuild, tough team to do well with with all that debt. Looking forward to the next one.
