Modern automatics shift much faster than manuals but that barely makes a difference in quarter mile times. It's the ratios. More gears = shorter gears and that means the motor stays in the power band for more of the time.

I know nobody likes sharing details about their builds but what we’re the differences between Zr1s? All of them said 1k hp 2650, someone got some nitrous sauce hidden. Grey matter zr1 is one of the fastest Zr1s I’ve seen race. Then you have 2 in sa that can boot him like that ? It’s impressive respect to all the builds.

@@HCIZ06 in the interest of transparency, it wasn’t the gearing. All races were from 3rd. The pullies used were different, and there was meth and ice used on the white cars, however aside from that the setups are all very similar (sbe, h/c 2650 cars). Some of the best racing you’ll find anywhere 👍
