I just changed mine, and I must say that your video is probably the best when it comes to replacing the alternator for the 2.5 L Nissan Altima post 2006. I wish I had actually followed your instructions because it would have made my life easier-it took a while to remove the bottom bolt. I do however wish you had shown you putting the belt back in place.

I was going to ask. I have the same car and it recently broke down. I did notice that the battery and brake light were flickering on and off a few days before it stopped working. Now when I try to start it, the dashboard and radio will flicker on and off and the car won't even stay on. Do you think these may be symptoms of a bad alternator? Thanks!

Yes. If your belts are properly tight. Good battery connection. Good connection at alternator and the alternator old. Yes, you have alternator issues

Does your removal method here apply to the 2014 model nissan altima too ? And did you have to remove front bumper loosen radiator support and have to empty any of the fluids just to remove the alternator?
@IRgEEK Жыл бұрын
The alternator on my 2010 is way down inside and not nicely assessible like the one here. I decided just to take mine to the job because I don't have the tools to drop the engine and accessing via the front will be a pain and require the whole radiator to come out. Thanks for the video though.

@@mexicalibc7937 no problem... It's gonna be difficult to determine the quality! That's why we get warranties. Should be a limited life time warranty if I recall. Hopefully you never have to use it! Getting ready to put the second one on my 2009 Altima. Exactly the same issue very noisy but working electrically. Seems these things only last for about 45000 miles on an Altima. Ordered the last one from Amazon and got it for half price of Oreilly , however maybe that's why im replacing it again?? I personally would have replaced the belt too since you already removed it. @partsshooter4 жыл бұрын
Power torque tools are crap above ok, I started to do a video on them. I use them daily! They quickly begin to degrade after a month! The battery in the impact fails to retain itself because of excessive vibration in combination with dropping damages they spring loaded retainer. Luckily I spend so much at oreilys, they warrnty it thank goodness. As for the driver, they do sell battery packs separate

The Electrical system cant operate properly below 12v.... 11.5v is pushing it! But below 11v-10v electrical components begins to go crazy and car slowly shuts down to reduce power. At 9-8v the car should succumb to inadequate voltage
