Pity the car doesn’t have modern stereo/sat nav & screen etc...but I guess these are just cosmetics. Maybe can be fitted aftermarket?

I prefer the old style radios, not as much to go wrong and not as distracting as a touch screen, in fact i am amazed that you are not allowed to even touch your mobile but you can play about with a radio till your hearts content :-)

Just look for a car with the optional iDrive screen, well worth having and 2nd hand probably doesn't add anything to the price.

Yet another car from my dream car list... Too bad there was no roof down footages. Something that all the presenters miss in roadsters/cabriolet presentation is showing how much wind buffeting is there with the roof down. There is and wind measure tool, which I believe is not expensive, but still no one shows it. You might be the first for future presentation...

2800 rpm @ 70mph is quite high, I guess the 3.0 diesel would tick over @ 2000 rpm @ 70, so better on fuel

yep but its geared for acceleration and performance rather than economical motorway cruising, so its just a compromise

Make sure your car has servotronic option, as the steering is heavy at low speed and all have a notchy gearbox. Also do yourself a favour and ditch the run flat tyres, then doesn't tramline and quieter.. Had mine 7 years, love it. Just wouldn't consider fabric top after this car. Later steering wheels look chunky and cheap.
