Bad as this seems, I have a friend who had to change a bulb in a Mercedes 300 or some such. Dealer wanted $3500. Went to a body shop and saved about $1000. This is insane.

@@VAspeed3 I needed a full muffler replacement and VIP wanted $1400, then said "We can just replace the rusted sections by cutting them out and welding pieces back in for $700" 😳 I said...ill wait for my mechanic to get the part on back order...it was $300 for everything. Hes an awesome guy...thank GOD. He said even he had to bump his rates from $60hr to $80hr recently just to cover the electric and stuff for the shop...prices are crazy for all of us.

This design is not an accident, it is to prevent do it yourselfers from attempting the job. The car industry wants you to take the car back to the Dealer and pay $235 to do it. Plain and simple.

Great Video! Gave me the confidence to have a go at. FYI: There is a small window in the wheel well cover for access to the bolt near the "4th clip" (no need for the long extender). That clip was very difficult!!

Yep... My jeep... Open hood, reach in, unplug bulb, twist and remove locking ring, pull bulb, then reverse steps with new bulb... Passenger side is a little tight so loosening the battery hold down to shoot the battery over a little may help My crown vic... Open hood, loosen three clips, remove plastic panel, unplug bulb, twist and remove locking ring, pull bulb, reverse steps for new bulb

UPDATED!!! I'm going to use your method seems a little bit quicker just moved got to locate that puller but either way if I have to break them I have like 300 of those tabs for cars in a pack I bought from wish I decided to go with spyder headlights because I'm getting the ever so famous Malibu headlight leak passenger side and that is the headlight that blew so imagine that. I'll let you know and the public know how everything goes but the way you have it down man they shouldn't doubt you. UPDATE: you are a mad scientist man I just did both of my headlight replacements because I didn't really feel like messing with the bulbs and it had that Chevy headlight leak I just replaced both headlamps total hour and 45 minutes you saved me thank you
