I wish I had come across this video years ago! I have a 2014 Elantra with the same issue! I have replaced tires, wheels, etc all the same issues you have. Im going to be replacing all of my mounts asap! I got the car with 48K miles and have been dealing with it for 100K miles. No more! Thanks for this video though

Gotta replace the engine mounts soon on my ‘11 Forte Hatch. It’s got 121,000 miles and it’s 11 years old and have gone through several daily heat cycles

I just ordered a mount kit for my 06 rio. I did other stuff as well after a fender bender, then I noticed the right mount wriggling. Thanks

Hi men, did you replace the rear engine mount???? If you did how??? Ive been scratching my head on how to replace it. Thank you so much on your detailed instruction on the side mounts, I used this video to replace them and everything went so smooth until I got to the rear one.

Unfortunately I saw the rear mount and it looked like too much trouble for me. I think I'll save that one for my mechanic. But I got lucky and it still seems to be in good shape.

Hi Kaz, I liked the video a lot. I didn't have to change my engine mount but I used the info for replacing my serpentine belt and pulleys. I was curious what camera and/or hardware are you using to record this video?

I had a GoPro hero 7 silver and some cheap Amazon head mount that was part of a camera kit. If you're looking to buy a GoPro, def go for the black (avoid silver or white). The silver is missing a lot of critical features, especially with colour and lighting.

I'll start off by mentioning I am not a mechanic, so you'll want to double check what I am about to mention. The main goal of jacking up the engine is to remove load from the engine mount so it may be removed and to hold the engine in place. Generally, when you reattach the mount, you're going to want to raise or lower the engine to the natural seating position, where the mount lines up with the engine's mount points. You don't want to force your bolts back in on an angle. For most mounts there is one position, so you don't have to worry about this too much. If the mounts, bolts and engine line up, you're likely in good shape. However, there are some mounts that can have their position adjusted. With those mounts you should refer to the service manual or a mechanic at that point. The odd time, you may need to raise or lower the engine to remove a bolt (as seen in this video), but the final position should always be returned aligned with the mount. As for jacking the engine, you'll always want to be sure you are NOT raising the weight of the car when jacking. Applying too much force to the engine may cause damage to the engine and can be dangerous. Always place the car on jack stands first. It may be difficult to see in the video, but I did jack up the front of the car before doing any of the work. This is necessary to remove load of the car's weight from the drive train, which can apply force to the engine. Always be careful when jacking. Ensure you are using safe jacks, ensure the jacks are properly seated, only jack a vehicle on a hard level surface (such as concrete), use wheel chalks to prevent rolling, and always use a backup jack in case your stands fail. Also, when reattaching parts, please torque your bolts to factory specifications. I did not perform this step in the video.

@@kaz5255 Thank you so much I did not notice that you jack stand the car. I appreciate your help. I used the same engine mount on my Hyundai Sonata but I was afraid that I raised the engine to high that I broke the mount. The mechanic took a look the bottom of the car. I was acceletaring and pressing the brake and the thansmission and engine was moving back and forward.

I had the same problem with my Kia soul I changed the motor mounts twice apparently what's happening is the bolts bracket that holds the motor snapped I replaced them two or three times just starting to happen at about 140,000 miles once the boat start snapping the motor mounts is not going to do any good you have to redrill the bolt holes that hold the bracket but you're still going to have the problem come back there needs to be a recall your motor is going to drop on the ground

I'm going to have to fabricate a support bar from the bottom to hold the motor keep it from falling to the ground, by the way I replaced the front motor mounts the transmission mounts nothing seems to work eventually it will vibrate in the bolts will snap the engine will drop, I have a five-speed Kia soul so I think too much torque in the transmission when I shift is causing the balls to snap.

I have replaced the whole suspension in my Elantra 2008 looking for a vibration when driving at 55 MPH or more and still the same shit, even 2 times brand new tires with two alignment and nothing. so don't waste your money.
