This was the 2nd NASCAR race I ever watched, after the 2010 Bud Shootout. Those two red flags was extremely helpful in getting me knowledge about the personalities of every driver and probably what helped keep me watching.

29 car was the class of the field. The race finishing at night because of the track coming apart hurt him. His handling during the day was the best in the field.

I remember this 500, was competitive, had some mood points, but the ending is one of my favorites, and the first time having to do multiple attempts at Overdrive, that's one thing NASCAR did fortunately in time for this race, otherwise it'd end under caution, and Harvick would've won it and that move he did on Truex would've been in all highlight reels for winning moments in the 500.

This is my all time favorite Daytona 500. Even beats Sr's and Jr's first. Jamie is one of the most deserving winners and I remember watching almost 80% of this broadcast. I was shocked when Dale came flying in second.
