my family has the 2012 model. aside from the lack of a tachometer and the weak trunk door support it is a perfect car. extremely cheap on gas. it can be a bit of a struggle driving it through my very hilly city especially since the motor is not crazy powerful but you get the hang of it fast. the backseats are a little cramped but the front is very comfortable. the trunk is roomier than it looks at first glance. the turning and handling is excellent and very responsive, but since the car is small you are likely to get blinded at night by headlights. yes the ride is not amazingly smooth at max speeds but it is not jarringly noticeable and personally we are rarely driving the car fast enough for that. gear changes are smooth and pleasant. i personally do love the revving noise. don't fool yourself thinking you need a top of the line current car to get around. this car is a joy to drive in and very fuel efficient. and it fits everywhere! nothing quite as satisfying as squeezing into a tiny parking spot in the city while a ram truck owner looks on miserably >:) i would definitely recommend it for a first /college car.

I had one of these, it was the top of the line though. Meant it had alloy wheels, aircon, electric front windows, front foglights and a glovebox. Also a slightly different colour interior. Great car for just doing everyday stuff, it could even fit two paddleboards rolled up. With the seats folded down that is. Not the quickest but fast enough on a little country lane.

Reminds me of a car we had here in the UK years ago the Rover Metro a good basic fun super mini , ive seen the Pixo for sale here too and they are dirt cheap a 2010 version is £1500 pounds and when this car was brand new in 2010 it sold for £7 thousand , very cheap and exactly the same as the Suzuki Alto

Can the back doors be replaced with roll glasses?

No

Switch blanks are because higher spec models have switches there and it saves having a different dash for different specs.

Hi just a random question.. do both nissan PIXO 2009 and nissan PIXO 2010 have the same shape? I have to replace the bumper of my nissan 2010 and found a someonr who'd sell me his nissan pixos 2009 bumper but I'm not sure if it's compatible

Nope, they have different engines. The Nissan Pixo uses the Suzuki K10B engine as which is shared with the Suzuki Alto as the Pixo is basically a badged engineered Suzuki.

Don't know if you ended up getting one or not, but I recently bought one and driving it can be quite fun, it has its rattles and what have you but it is a very good first car. happy driving:)

it has aux? and usb is that default?
@lukasautomotiveawesomeness15364 жыл бұрын
Yes the aux and USB seem to be standard even with this particular Pixo being a base model

@@lukasautomotiveawesomeness1536 The radio installed in this car is an aftermarket one. The Nissan Pixo as well as the Suzuki Alto of which this car is based of has a different radio than that which does not come with aux or USB.

why foot on the clutch
@lukasautomotiveawesomeness15366 жыл бұрын
For safety and also because a lot of cars have a clutch safety switch that requires you to depress the clutch to start the car. Not every manual car has this, but it's still better to depress the clutch, just in case
@silvervisage50964 жыл бұрын
It's easier on the engine. Also if you forget the car in first gear and you're not paying attention when starting it, the car could jump and you rearend the car on front of you. Beginner fault. Happened to me when i was a greenhorn luckily no car ahead of me.

I prefer manual climate control, windows, seats etc, I just don't trust electronics enough, if one is to keep the car for 15 years. Unnecessary expense and more parts that can fail.

@lukasautomotiveawesomeness15363 жыл бұрын
It's a rebadged Suzuki Alto
@charlesc.90123 жыл бұрын
After the badge engineering, it also occupies a lower end of the market , and that makes it more attractive than the alto if you don't mind the lack of electric creature comforts
