Ya, this brings my memory back to 2010...the UK Open Amateur Latin Championships competitions where you can see all the big names of Ama players at that time, namelyJoran, Jurii, a Slovenian guy, Neil, Martino, Dorin & one American guy Valentin....Joran/Tatsiana[Croatia] couple actually won....but the 1st performer Valentin, a guy from the US seemingly of Russian origin impressed me much....so neat in form and smooth changes of direction in Cha Cha....all in all the music was fantastic....the Paso Doble saw 3 highlites

Rankings; 1st place Joran(Croatia), 2nd Jurii(Slovenia), 3rd Neil Jones(UK), 4th Martino(Denmark), 5th Valentin(US), 6th Dorin(Moldova)...all of these players now retired except Dorin who won British Open(Blackpool) pro comp. a couple of yrs back fm now(2023)...as far as I know...!

This ws the last competition with WDSF and WDC couples mixed, even though some were missing

So sad what’s happened to dance sport. I miss these days when everyone danced under one federation. WDSF today is trash with no artistry.

Troels/Ina in 2010 registered as from Denmark at that time....but now they got US citizenships and as of 2023 they are now the World Champions....
