This garba was play at the Western Canada Garba Competition, Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium Edmonton. This garba won 2nd prize in the Garba category.

Garba teams these days seem more preoccupied with constantly changing formations rather than the actual esthetic quality of the dance. I prefer to watch traditional garba performances where they stay in a circle but the dance actually looks beautiful.

I believe this is the same exact dance that was done for India Fest back in 2009. Doesn't look too bad for a copy, just clean up those lines and leave it to the pro's. Search 'UCF Garba Knights' to see the original. :) GKG!

I'm from a competing city in this very competition, and watching the copy Fort Mac did disgusts me. Fort Mac - it's called creativity. Good thing you aren't coming this year. Great original dance from the Garba Knights though!
