I just realized that Timo's serves are performed while holding the bat in penholding grip, then quickly changing it to shakehand for the return (and rest of the match).

Its not a penhold grip. Its more like holding the bat between your thumb and the other fingers while those are not holding the racket. So u kinda make a fist. It gives ur wirst a lot more flexibility which is why players usually always switch their grip when serving.
