Very different type of dumpsters. They couldn't even take a board that was quite long, though! Seems their trucks don't have the crushing power as the ones in the US.

Because they sort all the waste, regular trash doesn't even have food waste mixed in with it.

This is a pretty cool system they've got going, seems to work pretty well. Seeing the crane at first I thought the job would be slow, but those bins are lifted, emptied and replaced very quickly. The crew work very well together too; one at the controls and one handles the hooks! Shame the packer view was obscured, works hell fast though... wonder how much you could squeeze into one of those little bodies?

So how would you do it on a road that isn't much bigger than the truck itself in a lot of cases, and the bins are neat and tidy, - don't forget the US uses trucks with bodies that size. They also have a lot more space in most towns, and except for the inner cities the houses are a lot farther apart.
