2011 BMW 328i 3.0 Oil Filter Housing Gasket and Serpentine Belt Replacement: This is a very detailed, step by step DIY instructions on how to remove and replace the oil filter housing gasket and serpentine belt on a 2011 BMW 328i 3.0. Great Job one question if im doing this at home and dont have a vacuume for the coolant is it necessary to do it? Or i can still do the job without vacuuming the coolant?

If im doing the gasket do i have to do the belt or did u do it while u were under the hood?

If your belt is oil soaked you must replace it! On some models and some engines the belt frays and can get sucked into the engine through the front crank seal and does major engine damage.

You didn't drain the oil?

No. To do this job, you don’t need to drain the oil but it is a good practice to change the oil afterwards.
