2011 BMW X3 X-drive 28i Start Up, Engine, and In Depth Tour

In this video I give a full in depth tour of the newest generation BMW X3, the 2011 X-drive 28i. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this suv while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this suv designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I just bought one and like it allot. It’s 7 years old, with 85,000 miles, and runs great. The one I bought has heated seats in the back as well, which is nice for whoever will be sitting back there on those cold days. Thanks for the in-depth, knowledgeable review. 🙂👍🏽

There is a really cool thing that these new BMWs do with the joystick gear shifter.... -If its in sport mode (tilted towards the left) & if you press P, the gear shifter automatically moves back to the default position ... hope you can show that on any future bmw's you do ... Thanks

My mom bought one a few weeks back black on black with contrast stitching I think the only difference is it has front and rear heated seats, didn't come with the HID's or the keyless entry.

@trefod True that. I test drove a BMW 323i E90 and whiles the engine wasn't super powerful it pulled so silky smooth, even at higher RPMs I never felt it running and at idle it was pretty much silent. The 6 speed auto was a good pair for the engine though.

i normally prefer older BMWs, like from the early to mid 90s but with the X3 (which came out originally in 2004), this new one definitely looks to be a huge step up from the previous generation, which I've heard bad things about.

@counkev The BMW is a straight six. A pentastar in a comparable vehicle has an EPa rating of 16 city 25Hwy. The BMW engine is a 3.0 and the Pentastar is a 3.6, there is no logical comparison between the two.

12 years late but that’s a thing still nowadays, it’s your instant MPG (been there for decades) and the Battery is the BMW EfficientDynamics charge level. When you brake you’re actually using a little bit of that energy to take work off the alternator and charging the battery instead of using the engine and alternator, similar to a hybrid.
