I never knew Canarm have switched from AC to DC for their industrial ceiling fans. Really curious as to how reliable they are & how strong their airflow is. Are those fans remote operated?

Yes they discountinued the classic CP series with AC motors around 2020-2021 hence why I decided to revisit this classic AC Canarm since they are no longer available plus the brown ones have never been very common compared to the super popular white ones. I'm also curious to try the DC one. The new DC ones uses a 5-speed wall control made especially for them. Regular wall controls cannot be used with them. I like how the motor is very thick on the new DC model but I wish they kept the same classic curved blades.

What speed control did you use for demonstration?

I'm using a 4-speed Legrand slider wall control rated at 1,6 amps on 120 volts.

There is a store in one of our outlet malls here in Houston that has four of these. Same finish. The only time I’ve ever spotted these in brown

The white ones are decently common in my area, but Banvil gold lines are very popular in my city

So this one is made around 2011 so it was probably before they switched to white lines on them

They changed to a line that's the same colour as the fan between 2010 to 2011.
