2011 crf450r fuel injection issues

Issues with either fuel injection or valves not really sure... Looking for help on this.

Yep, a good way to tell if the 450s are out of time is how the rev limiter sounds, it will be much slower than normal

that's timing mate, had the same problem with my crf450r hard to start and weird rev limiter.

Cam sprocket had spun.

Need to remap for the port polish and pipe. You got yourself a case of the zoomers.

No it was sprocket on cam was sliding off, which created a “out of time” issue

I did figure this out...... it was the sprocket on the cam..... it was halfway off the cam it had spun and the timing went to shit... crazy how it ran tho...

Hey I have a 2011 and the same issue, rebuilt the motor with a little porting and it does this also. How did u get the sprocket not to spin on cam?

My bike is fine runs starts and everything but it won’t run if it’s not on choke… and the frame is massive so I can’t see shit 😂 and when I rev it it shuts off but then I can start er up again. And it does the same thing…

Did you remap after new valves? Could be a Honda thing

Maybe with the ported head you need a tune for the injectior?

It was the ID of cam sprocket was too far out of spec and cam got loose inside the bore and was hanging on by like .7 of a MM. so lucky i caught it! Good times.

Yea man popped tank off, then popped cam cover and timing plugs, and looked at my cam and the sprocket actually had started to come off the cam, ordered a new camshaft and put it back in time after re-assembling and boom! Your golden.
