Thanks very much! I did the same but removed the muffler as well, so I had a straight pipe with exhaust tips. I use the car mainly for city driving and hearing the 'phheew' or blow off from the turbo was fun for a couple of years but I'm over it. The stock muffler setup sounds good!

I had the gunmetal-grey twin to your car with the same tune and parts [from Rawtek] damn did it sound good. The tune and deletes made that car perfect aside from maybe a little clutch slip. It was emotional giving it back to VW with 223,000mi on it. Hopefully a kid in a less regulated country is having a blast in them.

I'm insanely jealous. this has been my dream since I bought my 2011 golf TDI back in may 2011. now it's September 2016 and I'm just waiting to turn my car in for the buyback program. New York changed the emissions laws in 2012 making it impossible I think to do these mods. DPF delete and tune. so I'm just gonna let it go. But great video man. Nice to see what it would have been like.

I am instaling a lot of staf on my 2013 Golf TDI in order to make it look better: shift knob (35th edition GTI), Inox tail pipes, Shark fin Antenna (a fake one just for the looks), Clim Air rain guards, OEM splush guards, OEM Hella headlights and tail lights, RNS 510 latest version GPS + rear camera...Then, it will look much better!

i would think so, the rev limiter is gone when in neutral but i have never redlined while car was in neutral.

+MonGnoM It is legal to do in Germany, but you won't be able to drive into a lot of areas. For anyone curious how things go in Germany.... there are certain zones called "Umwelt Zone". It's basically an environmental zone. If you have a catalytic converter or DPF, you can apply for a "Green sticker" which grants you entry into the zone. I'm sure you could apply for the sticker when you have your DPF installed and then just take the DPF off shortly after.

no problems since i had it done in 2014. removing the emissions junk is a must if you want long term reliability.

malone is the name of the tuner from america. stage 2 is a mild tune that moves the car along nicely. stage 3 or above requires larger turbo and exhaust pipe exiting the turbo.

zupa Tru it's a 2.0 tdi, not 1.6. i'm not positive what numbers it puts out but my tuner estimates 170HP and 300+torque

+zupa Tru 1.6 TDI not available in the United States, hence Malone does not do a tune for that displacement. He mostly tunes the CR140 and CR170 engines, you have the CR105 i believe.

I know I am a bit late and I dont expect you to respond this, but eh 5 years later. I want to pick up a MK6 TDI as well and have been doing research. Anyway, after deleting the EGR did you get a check engine light and then it was fixed with the tune? Also, how is everything holding up?

I had a tuner do all the work for the delete and tune so he took care of all the codes. You have more than the egr though...DPF, CAT, NOX sensors, etc. It is holding up great and runs perfect. The only trouble I ever had with the car was a rear driver side brake caliper that failed in 2014.

lol if a cop drives or walks by your car he is gonna smell that diesel...... then again i have a couple mods on my MK6 TDI and i've been pulled over probably 7 times and was only asked about my mods once.... Still.....might wanna get a high-flow cat. it wont be straight piped, but you will have less of a chance of getting majorly fucked over and potentially lose your license/insurance/car + $20,000 in fines. It will be a very bad day. I suggest getting your inspection done and enjoy for a year then install DPF and inspect

Nice car. I've recently purchased a new factory dpf and egr filter filter light on. I haven't installed it yet because I want to delete those but the only thing I'm concerned about is Virginia state inspection/emissions. Now I've talked to a sales rep from a (tuning) source and he'd mentioned its "off road use only" and he's had no issues with anyone failing after the tune and delete. How do you pass those test? +falcon niner my county doesn't do emissions testing so i don't have any trouble with that issue. i think it would be confusing to tell the inspection station it's for off road use after you drove it there but all i can say is if you can, delete it. if you plan on keeping your diesel for a while it is very worth it because dpf and other junk is problematic and makes diesels unreliable in the long run.

there is a slight unobtrusive drone shifting through the gears but none at crusing speed. i have a dieseldubs setup and it's a straight pipe from the turbo back to the stock muffler.

no negative effect, only positive in every way. no save the earth junk attached is a good thing. i don't have emissions test in my county and if i did, i would delete anyway.

ya, the 2.0 tdi's are good as long as you take off all of the emissions garbage, if you don't, it's likely going to cost you a lot of unnecessary spending in the future to fix it when the junk fails. dpf, cat, egr, exhaust valve....all problems.

No, I didn't make it. It's the higher end race pipe for the egr delete from Dieseldubs that I chose when I had the DPF delete done.

ok...so you removed the EGR and the acceleration flap as well? because i don't see it there. i presume your car model had the EGR in front, bolted to the acceleration flap. I only see the inter-cooler hose connected to the manifold, but no flap. i am about to do the same thing to my car. EGR is now broke. i will remove the dpf and egr. btw, what diameter is the downpipe? Did you went with the same diameter all the way?

yes, egr and flaps are gone. the pipe size is 2.5 inch all the way back to the stock muffler.

well make sure you do the deletes as soon as you can because that is where most of your problems will come from. the mk6 golf's are pretty stout as long as you keep up with the maintenance and use OEM VW parts. the only problems i've had with mine in nearly 8 years was a oxygen sensor and one of the rear calipers seized. @@R88ninja
